John is an award winning and record-breaking West End and Broadway actor & recording artist - probably best known for his performances as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables and as The Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera.

Also on December 1st, John will appear in the 'Movies and Musicals at Christmas' concert at the Apollo Victoria Theatre in London's West End. Appearing with John will be Gareth Gates, Louise Dearman, Sarah Lark and Christopher Biggins. The show will also feature The West End Gospel Choir and a full orchestra.
On November 20th John returned to the Coliseu dos Recreios Theatre in Lisbon, Portugal. Having appeared in a sold out concert there earlier this year, John once more appeared with Portugese stars Madalena Alberto, Henrique Feist and Sofia Escobar along with a full orchestra and choir.
Recently, John performed at the BBC Children in Need Gala Lunch at the Savoy Theatre, London on Sunday 27th October. The dinner was hosted by Sir Terry Wogan and also featured the now famous Children in Need charity auction. The event raised over £100,000! Thanks to everyone who attended the event for their incredible generosity!
On December 20th John will appear in the Christmas edition of BBC Radio 2's legendary live concert show 'Friday Night is Music Night' John will perform once again with Louise Dearman and the BBC Concert Orchestra

John recently headlined the BBC Proms in the Park concert in Caerphilly, Wales. Also onstage performing with John was Sophie Evans, BBC National Orchestra of Wales and a 40 strong choir. The event was screened live on the BBC Red Button service and broadcast live on BBC Radio Wales. Clips and pictures from the concert can be found HERE
On September 9th, John co-headlined a concert with Bryn Terfel and Maria Friedman and the Royal Liverpool Philarmonic Orchestra at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. The show, which featured songs from musicals by Lloyd-Webber, Sondheim, Rodgers and Hammerstein and many more, was also directed by John.

The first episode of In The Flesh aired in March and recently aired on BBC America. Scott and Bailey aired on April 10th and The Mill aired in July/August.
John contributed vocals to charity single 'A Miners Song'. The track, recorded as a tribute to the 8000 people who have died in mining accidents in Wales, will be released in March with all proceeds going towards the Welsh National Coal Mining Memorial to be erected next year. Over 200 artistes have contributed to the single which also features Aled Jones, Caroline Sheen, Daniel and Laura Curtis, Dennis O'Neill, Ioan Gruffudd, Iris Williams, Jonathan Pryce, Matthew Rhys, Paul Potts, Pino Palladino, Rebecca Evans, Rhys Meirion, Sian Phillips and Wynne Evans. With special spoken contributions by Michael Sheen, Boyd Clack, Joe Calzaghe and the late Richard Burton. The CD is available from iTunes, Amazon and Tesco and Asda stores in Wales.
John earned a coveted Manchester Theatre Award nomination for Best Actor in a Visiting Production for his performance as The Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera 25th Anniversary Tour. Winners of The Manchester Theatre Awards were announced on March 26th. Sadly, John didn't win the award but the excellent Ray Fearon did for his performance in the RSC's Julius Caesar.
