“VOYAGER” WILL BE RECORDED IN LONDON AND PRAGUE AND WILL BE RELEASED in 2025

LIKE JOHN’S PREVIOUS ALBUMS, VOYAGER WILL FEATURE A MIXTURE OF SONGS FROM MUSICALS AND OTHER GENRES… BUT THIS TIME THE SONGS WILL BE UNITED BY A COMMON THEME. EACH SONG WILL BE CONNECTED TO ONE OF THE NUMEROUS COUNTRIES THAT JOHN HAS PERFORMED IN OVER THE YEARS…

 YES… JOHN’S 7TH FULL STUDIO ALBUM WILL BE FUNDED BY A KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN THAT WILL LAUNCH SOON – MEANING YOU CAN BE PART OF THE PROCESS OF MAKING “VOYAGER”!

John says “I’ve been thinking about making a new album for a while now and the time finally feels right after spending all of 2023 working almost exclusively in the theatre. I feel the need to change gear and do something other than live theatre for a little while so I’ve been spending a good deal of 2024 already working on making Voyager the best it can be - an album that will be both interesting and a little different to the music I’ve made in the past. It will have it’s roots set in the world of musical theatre but will go places my previous records have never been before. Hence the title - which also refers to the thematic concept of using songs associated with some of the amazing countries that I’ve been privileged to perform in all over the world. Each song on the album will represent a country I have performed in.

I’m excited to share the recording process of Voyager with my audience and get them involved as possible with the making of it via a Kickstarter campaign. It’s going to be great fun and I think it could be my best album yet!”

THE FIRST TRACK FROM VOYAGER HAS BEEN RELEASED!

A BRAND NEW AND UNIQUE ARRANGEMENT OF THE TITLE TRACK FROM THE MUSICAL “THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA”

Recorded in London and Beijing, the recording features acclaimed Chinese performer (and former “Christine”) Pan Hangwei and uses an arrangement that features traditional Chinese folk instruments.

The track enjoyed its live debut on John’s 2024 China tour and is available to stream or download NOW - wherever you get your music!
